Guru Shukracharya Temple is very old and ancient. Due to the temple being very ancient, the temple was very dilapidated and abandoned. The temple was in a very bad conditionAnd day by day the condition of the temple was getting very poor. observing this condition of the temple, all the committee members came together and started thinking about it.
india, the land of countless temples dedicated to gods and goddesses, boasts a rich historical and mythological heritage. These temples, some dating back thousands of years, serve as living testaments to our culture, spirituality, and social fabric. Preserving this invaluable legacy is not only a duty but also a responsibility for every Hindu. Under the patronage of our trust, Guru shukracharya Temple, shri kacheshwar Temple, shri vishnu Temple, shri ganesh Temple, sanjivani Paar, and shri govardhandhari Temples are taken care of. These temples hold great significance, steeped in ancient mythology and history, and their location along the riverbanks has subjected them to considerable deterioration due to periodic floods. Recognizing the need for restoration, the trust has taken the initiative to revive these temples gradually. The foremost concern when embarking on such a task is the financial aspect. Since the temple’s income was limited and was slow increasing, the previous trustees made valiant efforts to maintain and preserve these sacred structures. The former chairman and myself (then secretary) of the trust, was at the forefront of these endeavors, driven by an unwavering determination to safeguard and restore these temples. It would not be an exaggeration to say that the temple occupied our thoughts round the clock. Other dedicated trustees of the trust, namely Adv. Mr. Gajanan Vishweshwar Korhalkar, Adv. Mr. Sanjeev Dattatray Kulkarni, Adv. Mr. Nitin Raibhan Bhawar, and late Mr. Madhavrao Ganesh Patwardhan, actively participate and provide guidance in the restoration work, along with their other responsibilities within the trust.

Fortunately, our resolution to restore the temples received immediate support when we presented the idea to Late Mr. Anandji Nair Saheb of Ramanugrah Trust, Mumbai. He readily agreed to assist us without making any changes to the temples’ original
architecture. His words echoed our thoughts, and thus, the temple restoration began. We commenced the work at the revered shri
Ganesh temple, with blessings from the elderly citizens of bet and a ceremonial inauguration by Late Mr. Chimaji Gajaba Avhad. To
ensure the highest standards, we enlisted the help of my brother and engineer Captain. Suresh Mhaluji Avhad, a resident of Nashik and a native of Kopargaon. Captain Saheb made it a condition to not accept any fees for his services, willingly traveling to Kopargaon twice a week at his own expense to supervise the work. The restoration work focused not only on preserving the temples but also on enhancing their aesthetics using modern technologies.
Mr. Badkan Chaurasia and the rest of his team diligently undertook minor repairs and maintenance in the temple.
