Guru Shukracharya, the revered sage whose boon ensured the success of every marriage in this holy land ensuring that no Muhurta or timing would impact any auspicious work performed there. Regardless of the day, time, tithi (lunar day), planetary positions, Rahu-Ketu positions, Sinhastha or Adhik Masa (additional month), this land would forever remain unaffected by such factors (hence, no need to see Muhurta). Any new beginnings or Karya (work) on this land would invariably be fruitful and successful. The place where Maharaj performed the ‘Vivaha siddha homa’ was his Ashram, situated on the banks of the River Godavari or the present day shri shukracharya temple. To this day, No Muhurta has been ever observed for any auspicious beginnings in the sacred temple of Param Sadguru Shukracharya Maharaj.
Following Gautama’s counsel, Kavi reached the sacred mountains and devotedly worshipped Lord Shiva. Pleased by Kavi’s unwavering devotion, Lord Shiva bestowed upon him profound knowledge and skills, transforming him into an extraordinary adept. However, Kavi ‘s insatiable thirst for knowledge led him to implore Lord Shiva for the rarest and most formidable Vidyas and thus, Lord Shiva granted him the divine “Mrit Sanjivani Vidya,” a sacred lore woven from the mystical Mahamrityunjaya Mantra capable of resurrecting the dead.
The multifaceted nature of Guru Shukracharya, not widely
known or understood by the general public, is unveiled in this
exploration. Beyond his role as the master of the asuras and the
bestower of the Sanjivani mantra, Shukracharya’s benevolent side comes to light. Descended from the Rishi Bhrigu and Ushna, his zodiac sign being Libra. The bright white planet Venus that rises in the eastern sky at dawn is Shukra, also known as Kavi Ushna, Described as handsome, radiant, with curly hair, and adorned in white attire, Shukracharya carries a staff and a flower while riding a white horse.
This great ascetic possesses a multitude of qualities, including wisdom, intelligence, poetic talent, expertise in yoga, profound
scholarship, intuitive insights, astronomical knowledge, and a
deep devotion to Lord shiva. Furthermore, Shukracharya utilized his extensive knowledge for the welfare of the universe, earning acknowledgment and admiration not only from humans but also from gods. His era was marked by philosophy, Upanishads, and the establishment of Achyutam Samaja.
This book primarily delves into the invaluable gift that Guru
Shukracharya bestowed upon society, the ethical knowledge. Lord Shankara initially imparted this knowledge as ‘vaishalaksha’.
