Shri Kshetra Bet, also known as Old Kopargaon, is a picturesque village with a small population and limited geographical area. Earlier, river Godavari known as “Dakshina Ganga” was a western channel as it flowed all around the bet and as it was surrounded by the flowing river Godavari, earning its name “bet” i.e. island.
