Working requires working hands and teamwork, we are very fortunate in this regard, a good donor, a good engineer, good
attentive and cooperative trust colleagues and villagers especially patriarch and senior citizen Mr. D.N. Avhad Sir, Mr. Bhausaheb Shinde and Mr.Valmik Katkade always encouraged us and showed us the right direction. The devoted rickshaw and bus drivers play a crucial role in bringing devotees to the temple, spreading awareness about its significance. Their contribution in popularizing the temple cannot be understated. The committee members, with their dedicated efforts and meticulous execution, have also played an instrumental role in managing the temple’s affairs. The temple manager, Mr. Sanjay Paraji Wadangale, the joint manager, Mr. L. U. Joshi, and the Mandira pujari, Mr. Narendra Purushottam Joshi, have ensured the smooth functioning of religious programs and the preparation of Mahaprasad, a sacred offering, in all the temples under our trust. Mrs. Jayshree Narendra Joshi’s unwavering dedication in overseeing these culinary offerings deserves special recognition. Moreover, we have received invaluable guidance and support from Mr. A.G. Longani and Mr. S.L Kulkarni, CA timely guidance and support has benefited the temple restoration work. Within the temple’s sacred walls, a transformation was underway. Twelve CCTV cameras (now sixteen) were installed, their watchful eyes ensuring the safety and security of all who entered. One phase of the meticulous restoration had already been completed, laying the foundation for the next stage—the enchanting beautification of the Palakhi and its surroundings. With unwavering dedication, the devotees embarked on this divine endeavor. The palakhi, a symbol of ancient traditions, was adorned with grace. Brass Gaumukha stood proudly on both sides, while the exquisite Palakhi itself became a spectacle to behold. Its facade, adorned with toughened glass, showcased the craftsmanship of artisans. Now, the resplendent Palakhi of Maharaj remained on display, inviting devotees to bask in its glory and seek blessings. But the transformation did not stop there. The grand entrance, known as the Dindi Daravaja, had suffered the ravages of time. Collapsed and dilapidated, it cried out for renewal. Guided by the spirit of restoration, repairs were undertaken with meticulous care. The entrance was resurrected; its walls rebuilt breathing new life into its very essence. Unnecessary steps were removed, and the facade underwent extensive repair. Three majestic domes now adorned the Dindi Daravaja , elevating it to a Grand Mahadvar, a gateway of magnificence. All this was achieved within minimal costs, a testament to the dedication and resourcefulness of the devotees. In the southwest corner of the temple, the enchantmentn extended to the abode of Goddess Ganga Godavari. Every corner received attention, every detail lovingly crafted. The interior decorations spoke of devotion, amplifying the sacred aura that enveloped the temple. Beyond the temple’s confines, a transformation unfolded. Encroachments were cleared, making way for a picturesque garden. The local committee members volunteered their time and effort, removing fallen trees and breathing new life into the space. Iron mesh encircled the area, protecting and defining it, while trees were planted to nurture a serene orchard. The large wall of the garden became a canvas for Mr. Harshal Balasaheb Avhad’s artistic vision, as attractive paintings added vibrancy and beauty. In just eight days, the place was cleansed, the compound restored, and nature’s touch embraced. Year after year, the temple continued its journey of rejuvenation. An attractive picture adorning a large wall was gracefully removed, making way for further improvements. The diligent work of cleaning, compounding, tree planting, and painting culminated in a magnificent transformation. And it was on the auspicious day of Mahashivaratri in 2019 that the respected Dr. Ajay Garg from Chandigarh inaugurated this remarkable achievement. The temple’s entrance was further embellished with the installation of two majestic elephants (Gajaraj), captivating all who crossed their path. A ten-foot-high swing, well decorated and covered, welcomed visitors with a touch of grandeur. The artistic touch of Mr. Raut of M/s. Swami Arts, Shrirampur, came to life, creating an awe-inspiring sight. The temple, dressed in its finest adornments, became the talk of the town, captivating devotees and onlookers alike. Not forgetting the practicalities, a well-equipped office now stood, providing a space for dignitaries, meetings, and efficient temple management. It symbolized a commitment to professionalism and hospitality. Similarly, a well-equipped museum has been built in the temple to preserve all the antiques and religious books used for the service of Guru Shukracharya Maharaj for hundreds of years and to make it accessible to all the devotees. All the antiques have been preserved in it and is opened for Darshana to the devotees. Also, a twenty five feet high glow sign board of “Guru Shukracharya Mandir” has been installed on the top of the temple, so that devotees can find and easily reach the temple. Also, a well-equipped abhisheka Kaksha has been set up in the temple to accommodate the crowd of devotees offering Abhisheka to Maharaj. A beautiful and attractive idol of Guru Shukracharya Maharaj has been installed in the Abhishek Kaksha and Mandir Garbha griha. Similarly, an attractive canvas painting of Lord shiva offering the Sanjivani Mantra to guru Shukracharya Maharaj by Mr. Harshal Balasaheb Avhad has been installed in the Abhishek kaksha. An attractive frame has been created showing the family tree of Brahmadçva and Guru shukracharya as well as for Prasad distribution after the Madhyanna arati the Prasadalaya kaksha has been erected. Similarly, paving blocks and granite have been installed outside the main Dindi daravaja and in the area of Dipamala.
As devotees and visitors witnessed the remarkable transformation, their astonishment knew no bounds. The temple, once weathered by time’s passage, had been reborn in all its glory. But this was not the end of the journey.
The devotees’ hearts beat with anticipation, for the remaining parts of the temple that are yet to be restored and beautified. And under the guiding light of Guru shukracharya’s blessings, we vow to continue this sacred mission. With the blessings of Guru shukracharya, we shall be guided in our future endeavors.
